We're in California for Christmas! Not that Minnesota isnt a great place in the winter, but spending Christmas in Ca...and its toasty weather...is a bit more, pleasant. Even better, Mikes sister has an extra truck we can drive around while we are here, saving us mucho $$$. All it cost was a little of our self esteem by being seen driving the Wuitschick Family Truckster.
Rather then spend time seeing mikes family he hasnt seen in 2 years, the first place he wanted to go was In-and-Out Burger. For those who dont know, In-and-Out is a Southwest U.S. burger chain with rabid fans that will go to blows with anyone who doesn't agree they are the best burgers in the world...mikes one of those fans. And just like what happened while he was eating, only a true In-and-Out fan would start devouring a double-double so fast that he would accidentally inhale some of it down the wrong pipe...and during his fit of coughing continue eating it.
Thanks to United Airlines, our bags didnt show up when we landed in Santa Maria, so we spent the first day without a change of clothes. After all that flying, showers were order, and luckily, dad had some clothes mike could wear...a Christian Dior "Tracksuit" circa 1982.
